About Me

To describe how I view my wedding photography and my approach to the event itself, I borrow the words of a close friend and prominent European photographer, Giorgio Galimberti. Regarding wedding photographers, Giorgio writes: "A wedding has everything: it involves storytelling, it is already rich in emotion, it requires capturing the poetry of the event, and it must possess its own aesthetic. The photographer needs to know what to do and when to do it. These are all qualities essential to becoming an excellent photographer. Right now, I notice that the most renowned wedding photographers often produce a glamorous, glossy style—bright images where everyone looks beautiful, almost like a *Vanity Fair* cover. Let’s just say that doesn’t align with my ideal of photography; it strikes me as homogenized and largely artificial. A wedding photograph should capture the feeling of real life. You should sense the love and the unfolding of events. It shouldn't look like a magazine cover. Then there are photographers who impose their own style—perhaps street photographers who capitalize on a playful vibe and draw parallels with street photography. I’ve even seen weddings where the photographers acted like directors—wearing matching outfits and using microphones to orchestrate the guests and the couple. I believe a photographer should be a witness—a silent witness. They should observe and photograph without being intrusive on that day, because it belongs to two people who love each other and are making a beautiful promise—likely the best day of their lives." I believe that being there and dictating the rules for taking good photos certainly yields good results, but in my view, that isn't the aim a photographer should have. A photographer should be a silent witness who—through their sensitivity, awareness, and unique way of seeing and storytelling—narrates and documents what is unfolding. That is how I see it. I am a street photographer who applies this approach to your wedding. I will never ask you to pose; instead, I will capture you in your most extraordinary moments without you even realizing it. How does that sound?
